I think you SLR flunkies don't understand the concept of willing seller/willing buyer. Imagine if I wandered over to your home and made you an offer for it 50% below the market price and then whinged when you said no. It doesn't matter if your employee says that is a great deal and tells you to take it, nor if your next door neighbour says sell.
