You also seemed to have missed the part where I said that disciplining a child needs to be combined with lots of love. No one is suggesting you beat kids up regularly or for no reason. The problem with you people is that you don't seem to be able to relate to discipline as opposed to abuse. They are very different animals. you also seem to miss the point that up until thirty years ago kids were well behaved and everybody was disciplined at home and at school the same way. It never hurt anybody that I am aware of.
