Surely if you are looking at the company accounts then you are using FA and one of your rules was to NOT use FA.
The reason why I am tending to lean away from FA is that currently there is no effective enforcement of accounting standards (here or in the US). This effectively means that what we read in the company accounts is pretty much just what someone else wants us to see. I doubt that anyone can really come to grips with the company accounts of something like NCP. Hence the rare times I do trade NCP it is purely on TA - absolutely nothing else.
This particular problem is worst in the large "blue chips" where multiple company structures can be used to disguise all sorts of things. At least with smaller companies one can get closer to the truth - sometimes.
