While EGL today notched a 52 week high, the stock still has a little way to go before it passes the peak of 33.5c. This was touched 18 years ago - in November 2003.
EGL is a very different company than it was then. Apart from the recent PFAS breakthrough a key difference relates to waste management.
With the Turmec tie-up, EGL becomes the second direct waste management play on the ASX.
Shares in the other play, Cleanaway Waste Management, today hit a record $3.14.
CWY's MC is $6.45b. EGL's MC is $86.41m.
Instos looking for waste exposure may find EGL a relatively attractive option.
