Thanks for your effort in posting, was a great read..........interesting to see you mention Ballarat........I was born and raised there, I found a small speck of gold attached to a piece of quartz when I was building a jump for my BMX as a child in the Creswick State Forest(behind my old house). This fuelled a life long obsession for gold, for better or worse
