One may specifically isolate the operations of Nicolay 1 & Gibb Maitland 1 to audit and review:

Was there any operational decisions made by NSE technical staff that contributed to the failure to correctly core the Goldwyer formation @ Nicolay 1?

Was there any operational decisions or drilling adjustments made at GM1 that potentially may have contributed to the failure and subsequent stuck gear?

A full independent review of the decision to terminate the Century contract is required, imo:

Was NSE management aware of the dramatic impact the decision would have on both the NSE share price and the extent of the demobilisation/remobilisation bill (still undisclosed) faced by NSE as a result of this decision?
If so, was everything done that could be done to rectify the rig problems on site?
If not, why were NSE management not aware of the potential costs of such a momentous decision?
