True, but given the amount of cold hard cash that WP is being paid you can forgive the shareholders for thinking that the options are "free" cream on top of a very generous cake of cash - especially considering how dismal our share price is. Hence why many complain about WP's remuneration being too high in respect to the company and / or share performance.
Also, don't all shareholders with any experience of corporate governance think that WP's options to buy at 37c for up to a decade from now are priced way too low? Ademedus is, after all, a penny stock with high hopes of being the next CSL or Cochlear for many on here. Those with true faith in AHZ believe that this company will be worth $1 + in a few years. Hence, options priced as such should've been attractive to a leader with the same vision. If not, then clearly that leader's hopes aren't in line with the optimistic shareholders.
The bias that compels some to praise WP on HotCopper doesn't cloud the vision of the remaining shareholders. A first strike is a disgraceful notch to have chalked up by management of any company and it doesn't happen often. Not even the board of CBA have succeeded in getting that despite the scandals that they are going through. But I guess that this is due to the fact that they still make their shareholders money instead of losing it for them.
Let's see if "management" and Ratty buy their shares at 30c. I would love to see the look on their faces when they sign their cheques if this share price remains where it is - even if it is for a small amount of money in the case of WP, John Seaberg and Simon Buckingham. We all know that they have to do this because even the most hardcore fans here would call for their scalps if they don't. Then we might finally get some more commitment from these guys to start meeting their targets and get the share price to improve, if only for them to recover their losses on their 30c SPP shares.
