I was always confused why all pharma people and not med tech. I also understand WP was very hopeful on hsv results and had all those pharma people in his team. (Look at how he organized the presso for the hsv result in anticipation of good result and just reread the report without any other input once it wasn’t as he expected). A lot of people who watched his body language offloaded immediately and in fact rightfully.
Once the trial fail (fail - in term it was not going to attract partner), I thought he reshuffle his team by removing pharma people and adding more medtech people and especially hiring those people who involved in start up company success not the big name who got luxury of spending hundred of million of dollars in name of growth.
