I am also thinking that the delays could be to stop KAH getting to buy more shares at a big discount excluding RIO in particular and to try to stich up the JV by RIO before it sees its hands weaken even more by the 'sweeteners' it has to keep offering. KAH must know that they have got the numbers thru to promote Maclahan to executive pos.

What now? Fast track mining status to have direct leverage to the rally in U spot prices? I just can't see KAH letting their peized asset go unless the offer is so compelling. Playing into the hands of Honnen I think to dictate terms of jv in our favour. On the surface RIO looks the more desperate partner.
