Assuming the share placement is voted ahead, retail investors have two choices:

1. Pull your shares off the market, and stop selling, and let the 75 million be placed at 25c, and make someone else pay up.

2. Sell your shares in the panic of another imminent share placement (at a loss in many cases), and let the new comers have CVI shares at 12c.

Now having seen ASX retain investors at work I give 70:30 odd of one of these scenarios playing out.
