Hi Wilma, thanks for the compliment, I am starting to gain a small "following" with the Names Little open school of charting, lol. Though some keep trying to run away from classes.
Anyway onto more serious matters, the visual patterns (eg C&H, Head and shoulders etc) don't seem to have as many rules, seems to be as long as you can see the general pattern then it's ok. Also as I pointed out the other day, one or two days trading is unlikely to show the pattern has failed, the patterns have developed over quite a long period, it's the pattern that is telling you something, not what's happening today.
So on our Cup and Handle, the main "rule" I can see going ahead is the handle should stay in the top half of the cup, we don't want it dropping too far.
Anyway, volume is intriguing. Funny how it just comes and goes, isn't it.
