) i have lost a significant amount on A40, by going against my own investment principals:
* Don't invest (significant$$) in any spec stock that wholly relies on Chinese customers.
* Don't invest (significant$$) in any spec stock where you have some doubts in the guy running the Co.
A40 itself had very strong FA and huge upside with their next door 'Cowan' tenements and had the lowest 'debt' when compared to all other AUS Li producers, if it would have been run by the right management, now I would be sitting on multibag profits from that investment also.
Other little details you are leaving out are:

* Push from ROW to ween themselves from China Dependency for critical supplies, I did expect that to happen a lot sooner, bot Covid and Chinas own political behavior have finally given the 'Green Light' to 'Local Supply Chains' to be established, all the money pooing into 'Local Establishment
Hubs' to produce Battery Minerals around the globe is as good of a confirmation as one can hope for.
So, no, I don't think China has or ever will have that capacity to control prices for critical supplies goin forward, not just due to political reasons but also their customer base is shrinking and turning more self reliant and the other reason is that they will no longer be ale to continue with their ' Little Regard For The Environment' principles as long as the price is low that will no longer work in 'Western Countries' which coincidently are their main customers.
@Itstime2021, I think it might pay to start looking at things a bit more long term, market is starting to value potential players in 2024 onwards and is putting the appropriate values on them now and they will continue to rise as each Co advances with their projects.
