You could have verified the veracity of your industry contact's ambit claims in probably one-tenth of the time that it took you to write the post in which you relayed those claims.
And you get miffed by someone pointing out to you that the facts - about which you are wildly speculating - is readily available with just a few clicks of your mouse.
