generally, brokers can not buy in Chi and sell in ASX in very short period of time, because this trend would change the balance of market. buy and sell trend of Chi and ASX should be same. I checked many times in different companies with IRESS Pro.

sometimes, brokers that doing buy and sell for retailers are performing buy in chi if they can find cheaper price. the difference is going to pocket of broker. for example, if you fill the buy parcel in 14.5 c in $IRC by comsec, without showing the buy order in ASX system your parcel is being filled up, because comsec found a sell parcel of 14c or 14.5c in Chi.

however, in recent days, Hartleys keeps selling $EGS shares in lower price, perhaps they know something is going on. Normal sell price for $EGS price was close to 17c.
