He is a true God in a different context.

Jesus is Not the true God in -> Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.
(In no way is Jesus suggesting he is the true God here).

This verse, Jesus's words, should smack it in your face, in that You are interpreting 1 John 5:20 WRONG


Now we know that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him (Yahweh) who is true; and we are in Him (Yahweh) who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He (Yahweh) is the true God and eternal life.

If your in the Son, you are in the Father Yahweh..................no one comes to the Father accept through the son, for example.
