Once the xmas deadline is reached for SC55, I think the DOE will grant an extension.
Why wouldn't they ?
It could, and probably will, drag on for years.(over 7 years already)
NDO claim one reason they cant farmout SC58, is due to the prevailing territorial dispute in the Sth China Sea. Having read that, I now accept its probably a reason OEL are having trouble with the SC55 farmout.
With any Galoc extension decision not due until early 2015, I think the next drill OEL participate in will be onshore Tanzania, a bit over 12 months from now.
