Here's a bit of a presentation by Santos on hydraulic fracturing the conventional wells in the Cooper Basin, the basin where NSW gets the majority of its gas from.
There's a little graph showing the frac history from 1969 - 2011. Hundreds and hundreds of wells have been fractured.
