What I find interesting is the current very strong El Nino Event which is commencing. This will bring a slight below average rainfall to the area of the Santa Rita mine in Brazil. - This can only mean good things for production.
Past droughts in Indonesia, a country known for its nickel and copper produce, resulted to production declines as power facilities were gravely affected.
Even though there is an export ban in Indonesia, dry conditions can cause power outages from lower flows through hydro dams.
It will be interesting to watch and see what happens to global Nickel supply.
