Gold, refractory or not, is extremely simple to assay, it is not shy, it does not hide itself and only come out with a mystical potion.

Whilst all the conglomerate hype is exciting I haven't seen one of these companies come out with a set off drilling results demonstrating a resource. Metana come up with the same theory in the 80s when they had their Nullagine alluvial plant but did not find anything economic. The fact that gold is found near a shedding source is not particularly significant as the rocks are old and have had plenty of time to concentrate the gold, possibly even into economic concentrations but it doesn't mean the source rocks have economic concentrations just that it is worth having a good look.

One would think given the excitement in the area that the Atlas management would take advantage by floating off the gold/lithium into a separate company or jv the ground with someone with deep pockets and expertise.
