I believe that elders mngt strongly believe they will sell off these assets successfully within the next 6 months.
If you believe they can deliver this, than ordinary shareholders and hybrids will be much better off.
The confidence in rejecting ruralco suggests there are some interested parties looking at these businesses and that mngt have no major issues with their debt covenants.
