More scattered storms drifting through eastern NSW today. Is the BOM still sticking with its (high rainfall) El Nino forecast? Irrespectively, regular rain is not harming agriculture. No doubt, many farmers are feeling macro economic forces however they can't simply put the cue in the rack. May is still a long way away (for reporting) but we are sneaking up on 31 March when a line is drawn under the accounts.
Ultimately, human beings have to eat and Oz has a (deserved) reputation for producing high quality food of all types. As lesser developed economies grow wealthier they will demand Oz produce due to changing diets.
To me this is all macro economics and human behaviour rather than charts and analysis. Sure, Elders is susceptible to cycles (not to mention the attention of shorters et al) but that is why I am here for the long term. Not a "sexy" stock but preferable for a portfolio of shares. Just my thoughts. I am not fussed if others disagree. GLTAH. Cheers Keith
