    I think it's just supply and demand. There's just not that much love for ELD at the moment.

    Their numbers at half year weren't great and there's nothing i can see atm to suggest profitability is going to be any better by September 30.

    I was hoping that US demand would have boosted the Aus cattle market a little more by now. There's no real evidence of that in the EYCI right now despite high prices for grinding beef in the US. Maybe Brazil has them covered?

    Profitability in the farming inputs business can't be great or someone would be complaining about fertiliser prices

    Weather aside, I think we just have to wait for commodity prices to kick in. It will happen. It's just impossible to know when. A lot of moving parts but the fundamentals of industry consolidation, growth in ag output and international demand for protein, are on Elders side in the long run.
