I don't think ELD is at a point where shorts have overstayed their welcome yet. I do appreciate how they've helped me buy ELD at very attractive valuation. Shorts have now made a piecemeal out of those on ELD with short term trading horizons and they will continue to do so until something fundamentally positive occurs. It is simple human nature I'm afraid.

Not that hard to pinpoint the exact fundamental moment shorts have overstayed their welcome. I can provide a couple of examples from recent memory:
- MP1 shorts got as high as 12% but when the Q2 FY23 results showed 6-7% QoQ revenue increase Post #:65977636 and by Q4 it was still increasing Post #:69010963. They where out of MP1 in one of the tightest short squeeze I've seen in a while. SP went from 3.84 to 10.50 which made me a very happy chap
- With EVN shorts got to 6%. A percentage which doesn't look that bad but considering the SP got to $1.80 at the shorting peak... it was brutal Post #:64354100, Post #:64630947. The improved guidance and gold price upswing Post #:64037735 of the Sept 2022 quarterlies and good outcome on EH after the heavy rains later.. the shorts crashed and SP rocketed from $1.80 to close to $4 by May 2023.

What the catalyst will be for ELD I do no know. I don't have a crystal ball. Whatever it is it will be something fundamental and SP is usually well into recovery come 6-12 months after a positive catalyst. Just my experience...
