jumping in and out can be exhausting... if you claim a tax loss you cannot rebuy for a while even if the thing doubles.
why not just buy an index (eg Au) or US and holding for (hopefully) decades. you will never panic or exhaust yourself, worry about tax.
l reckon it's the way to go. if l could go back in time l'd be doing that.
