As currently planned, NBN seems so very short sighted, rushed and expensive for Australia. It is being used as a vote grabber when it needs far more discussion and consideration before going ahead.
100Mbps is almost possible by wireless elsewhere at present. In the FAQ section of the website, they mention that trends in other countries have been towards broadband without saying that other countries are already thinking (or have installed) well, well beyond 100Mbps networks. In 8 years time when finally installed, Australia's NBN will again be well behind in technology (if not already).
