it may eventually force investment in alternative energies I guess as the price of existing energy sources rockets...but what happens during the transition which could take many years? I am thinking it could destroy many businesses that are sensitive to energy costs.
The transition could be a real bitch. The lead times for nuclear power are many years (even if our govt was open to this), probably likewise for other energy sources.
