The senate takes a long time, but it gives you a house of review where the " little guy" can get in, and have a voice, and a veto.

This is by design. This means it is working as it should.

Australian system isn't superior to any other democratic system, it's just different.

If you think joke candidates getting elected on less than 0.5% of the primary vote is good for competent & effective governance more fool you.
