Inuit Ataqatigiit has won the election to Inatsisartut. In some places, however, the result needs to be finally approved by the election committee. IA has received 9,912 votes nationwide. That is 2,434 more votes compared to the Inatsisartut election in 2018. Despite the defeat, Siumut has also made a narrow progress. The party received 7,971 votes. That is 14 more votes than in the 2018 election. Naleraq received the third most votes with 3,249 votes. That is 682 votes less than in 2018. The party leaders have just met in a party leadership round on KNR TV - and here Siumut chairman Erik Jensen has just congratulated IA on the election victory. This is only the second time since the Self-Government was introduced in 1979 that Siumut is not in charge of the Naalakkersuisut. From 2009 to 2013, the IA's Kuupik Kleist was chairman of the Naalakkersuisut.
