    "Nothing wrong with that message."

    Really? How about the fact that that message was delivered illegally under the Spam Act?

    I received a similar message with a link which downloaded a pdf (a how to vote card for the local labor candidate) - actually I received more than one txt during the campaign.

    Apart from the fact that they weasled around part of the Spam Act because they are a political party, there was no opt-out option in the sms or even visibly anywhere on the pdf.

    Last time I checked, I thought that was illegal or a highly questionable act under under direct marketing laws...if not illegal, that set of a "shonk indicator" that put them on par with those scammers that call to rip you off on an insurance, fake financial survey or some other scam.

    Labor acting underhandedly? Surely not...!
