All this means is that all taxpayers, pensioners, and single mothers subsidise those who want a warm fuzzy feeling in their tummy by buying an EV.
Like the subsidy for solar arrays, it is grossly inequitable and distorts market forces. If these things are so great, they will sell on their own merits - but they don't! Speaks volumes.
