Doing some research on electric cars and the batteries likely to be used. I see that the popular idea is that Li-ion lithium batteries will be used initially. However, as lithium is in short supply and it would take nearly a century to supply the number of batteries required for the car fleet, I think it is likely to dropped as the major material. ZincAir seems to be the likely technology as zinc is in plentiful supply and relatively cheap. It is also safe compared to lithium batteries which can be dangerous if they malfunction for any reason. Any thoughts on electric cars and their batteries? As China and US are going ahead, they will soon be on our streets in large numbers. Electric bikes are commonplace in China, so a car will be readily accepted there. What Aus zinc stocks are focusing on this new demand.
