Good reporting...perhaps Len can take a feather from your
cap and make regular updates such as yours.

Noticed in last Thursdays Washington Post that Obama's
dream for millions of electric cars has had a kick start
with the U.S.Gov beginning to move on loan guarantees for
advanced battery development.

Also in the same daily...Steven Chu [U.S energy sec]
stated that "the United States has the most known coal
resources in the world,even if the U.S turns its back on
coal, China/India will not".

Chu further stated.."we need to develop a technology that
can get a large fraction of carbon dioxide out of coal.
Start with 70/80% and build up to 90%..but start now..
to get it done.

[Not bad for a Gov that less than a 100 days ago said,
"we will bankrupt the coal industry."]

Perhaps Obama/Rudd need to encourage companies like
Cougar..and let "THEM" decide the most effective ways to
remove their carbon footprint,instead of subsidizing
technologies that may/may not work.
