Electric car bursts into flames and burns to the ground after it was left charging overnight 'at a faulty power point'

Two fire crews fought to extinguish the blaze, which hit 300 degrees CelsiusSmart

Officers had to ventilate the office block to bring the situation under controlPictures of car show gutted body and melted remains of lithium ion battery pack

It is amusing to note how when the Electric Fan Boys and Girls are soundly defeated in an argument they immediately turn on their tormentor hurling insults and ridicule.

The experienced poster knows he is winning when he gets loads of insults and ridicule.

Now hybrids are very successful in the city with lots of stopping and slowing down but they are not much good on the freeway as the battery goes flat and is a great weight to carry.

And now the dreaming electric Fan Boys and Girls worst nightmare is happening.

Without Engines, Electric Cars Might Be Sputtering Out

A new survey indicates that more automakers than not think battery electric vehicles will fail commercially — and most drivers don’t want to buy one.

Electric cars might need some more horsepower for an uphill climb that shows no sign of levelling off.

According to a new survey of almost 1,000 automotive executives and about 2,100 consumers around the world, more people than not think pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs) will fail commercially because of infrastructure challenges or slow recharging times — and almost no one admitted plans to actually drive one off the lot any time soon.
