Hybrid cars are very popular and very effective and very convenient and very safe.

What the technically obtuse electric Fan Boys and Girls will never be able to comprehend is that the current petrol powered hybrids are merely a precursor to the inevitable hydrogen powered hybrid cars and LARGE trucks and LARGE machinery.

In the hybrid car the petrol motor is merely replaced with a hydrogen fuel cell and it will go for several hundred kilometers far further than an electric range anxiety heap and can be refueled in minutes compared to half an hour for electrics assuming there is not a queue which is happening more and more frequently where there are a few on these awkward contraptions..

So the few electric contraptions running around are just a splash in the pan and will eventually end up in the junk yards just like back in the 1800s.

Diesel will remain the main fuel for LARGE vehicles and machinery until hydrogen becomes freely available which is steadily happening overseas.

Australia is merely dragging the chain partly because it does not have the severe pollution problems experienced overseas.
