Distance is an issue for those that do big distances every day . But that is a very small section of the community .
Look at the people that commute by car in Australian cities each day . That is by and large the majority of the driving that is done in Australia by private vehicles . Ev's can already do that commute successfully . Every property connected to the grid is a fuel station .
The only issue at the moment is the price .
Heavy transport and remote travellers will need fossil fuel for much longer but a significant proportion of people could switch to evs right now with no problems .
Yes , I think there will be prssure on the petrol/diesel price at some point . Especially as OPEC and others continue to manipulate it .
