Exactly right, the huge increase in unsprung weight means that the use of wheel motors in EVs is limited to concept cars just like that Lexus. It reduces the drivetrain cost for one off vehicles but for mass produced production models wheel motors have huge NVH problems, There is a reason why production vehicles are not fitted with wheel motors.
