You certainly don’t need any scientist to answer your own question, all you needed to do when you were stuck in your sweltering toxic haze traffic jam the other day, was to hop out of your car after popping open the engine bonnet and then stick your own head in there, under the bonnet and over the top of the hot and running engine and then lower the bonnet down with your head still held above the hot engine, and just see how long you could then possibly bear keeping it there.

That would have immediately told you right then, and there, just what effect you could expect thousands of stinking hot ICE vehicles to have upon a heat-trap-sink city like Sydney.
