Following the NASA X57 project, news that Rolls Royce will be introducing what it hopes to be the world's fastest all electric airplane in 2020.
They expect speeds of up to 300 mph, with vertical take off and landing and short take off and landings.
The electric power train has 750 volts and a 90% energy efficiency, all with no emissions.
Three lightweight electric motors will produce over 500 horsepower and a range of about 200 miles with one charge.
The battery has 6,000 cells, with enough energy to power 250 homes.
