Cant say i agree with you there about how it'll never happen, the tech is moving fast and will be only a matter of time with supercapcitors with the ideal ionising cocktail. We already have supercharges that can charge up to 80% battery capacity on a Tesla in 15-20mins.
The way i look at it is currently there a millions of cars on the road at any one time each burning a small fire. If you were to put the fire all together from all over the world Aus would basically be a fireball, with a fire that big no wonder we are chocking ourselves.
the Earth is just a big house with decent ventilation after all
By going electric which will likely have long term negative effect as well but for sustainability now its something the world needs to do.
