With emissions limits rapidly dropping, carmakers simply cannot continue to sell many petrol powered cars for much longer. The little A-Series merc is about 30% above the soon-to-be limit, so what chance does ICE have..? It simply cannot make up a majority of auto sales in the years to come, regardless if some people, who have clearly never driven a Tesla for example, or even spoken to owners (who in every case I’ve found wouldn’t go back to ICE), cannot see what the future brings !
