It's interesting that you mention HD enthusiasts . I can remember when only the hard core guys owned Harley's . Back when they were pretty unreliable and agricultural . My Harley owning mates used to laugh at me because I rode Jap or European . They wore their " I'd rather push my Harley than ride Jap Crap " t shirts with pride .
The average HD owner has changed massively in the last 20 years as has the company itself . They are really a hard nosed ( and successful ) marketing company these days that happens to sell motorcycles .
The Livewire is their attempt to stay relevant as their sales are falling around the world .
Electric bikes in general are on the rise although they have a long way to go . I don't believe they will be a passing fad .
