Many decades ago (the 90's) I bought an electric razor. It was a Remington - as close a blade or your money back - and it was quite pricey for the time. Well, two days later I got my money back. It was a woeful product.
For many years now I have gone old school with a DE razor and never looked back. The razor itself is a somewhat large outlay but still less than $100 (depending on how fancy you want to go) and it's a one off and you save heaps on blades when you buy them by the pack of 100. Good quality badger brush and cream and shaving is no longer the chore it once was. Wish I had shaved like this from the start....
