Driving an EV needs a change in mindset compared to an ICE. ABC - Always Be Charging. Our car almost always leaves our garage in a fully charged state. We’ve been on several 320km round trips and we’ve never used a 3rd party charger. We only charge on solar, so although it’s free, the real cost for us is the lost feed in credits of 7.5c per kw. So on solar, 60kw of charge would “cost” us $4.50, which is good for 400km. That’s $1.125 per 100km, or the equivalent of a premium unleaded car with an efficiency of 0.6 L per 100km. That’s around a 90% reduction in fuel cost! And it’s the smoothest most responsive car I’ve ever driven! And quiet like you say!
