Have owned a Tesla Model 3 LR for 6 months now as the only family car we have. Currently utilise local public and surrounding council chargers, charging and parking costs are probably no more than $50 for the last 6 months, previously leased either 1 or 2 petrol/diesel vehicles paying ~$100-$150 a week in fuel. Saving on rego insurance owning only the one car as well lack of paying for fuel.
Next house we plan to build will incorporate a decent solar system (20kw) running only electric appliances ie. Heating, Hot Water, Cook Top etc. Plus charging the car off solar.
If I purchase another ICE vehicle, it will be a Sunday only car (regret selling and not holding onto my FGX Falcon XR8), cant beat an EV for daily use.
