Grizzly - I haven't listened to the link, but feel I should respond to your comments.

I think the government support of Electric cars would be short sighted to say the least. Pushing alot more electric cars into the system, is great, but would wreck havoc with existing power infrastructure. The draw down, even though they site that it would be used in off peak times, is still drawing power from the grid which does have to be replaced.

I think CFU or like units could work in conjunction with that. Powering electric cars, through the home, and not relying on the grid. Especially higher efficiencies of electricity production are beneficial.
