The only issue with my vehicle is cosmetic - fading paintwork - but given the age of the vehicle it's to be expected. As for safety - the best safety is being a defensive driver and that comes with the owner's driving habits - no amount of gadgets can compensate for bad driver behaviours. As for more features - how much more does one need??? Any car in the end is just a form of transport to get one from point a to point b. At least that's the way I see it.
If a car any car fits for purpose intended and does it well, can't ask for much more. Many older cars can still do exactly that - one doesn't need to outlay huge amounts of money - just the other day was seen an older 4wd vehicle with all the desired features I would be happy with and for under $5k - bull bar, tow bar, driving lights, mags sufficient towing capacity for the average caravan etc. Each to their own.
