Iam an electrician and the whole Australian electricity grid has been run into a ditch ,and saying all the small devices on stand by etc doesn't make any difference at all don't have a cup of coffee and theres all your savings for a week.Those devices use milli amps so we have to wait until battery banks are price competitive i still have no solar and wont until its capability is that i can go off the grid its coming sooner rather than later.
The only trouble is that it will be a little pricey, then people who can't afford it will pay more , which the greens don't care about ,the amount of coal being exported is at the highest level ever whichever is producing CHEAP ELECTRICITY. Unfortunately there are a few people who yell and scream like lunatics that politicians worry about.
