the av. km by car in Oz is ? 36 km from memory - so, at a societal level - that's a doddle.

36 km X 5 working days is only 180 km - so a full batt. if one wanted to go that way would be a doddle for a full working week - then, fill er up on the weekend - that's also possible.

People who have EV's are doing it ok - notice that all the turkeys who bring this kind of crap up - get their brain feed from conspiracy sites and algos - and, don't own an EV ---

UNfortunatley 180 km won't get me to work & home on a regualr day/ commute....along with the 10,000's of other I eye ball every day.

Might work in frog land, GoldCoast to Sunny coast is bigger than a lot of countries in Europe

(Met some German tourists at Brisbane airport (prior to Covid), wanted to know which way to Cairns & would they make it back for their flight in 2 days to Sydney...How long to do that in an electric car?? ---mind you 2 drivers in a diesel only stop one one refuel.
