Some comments from a poster on Yahoo CWEI re electricity generation in the US this summer and nat gas consumption
"Castlerock on another board says that 78,000 is the threshhold over which NG power generation really kicks in. And for every 1000 GWH you use over 78,000 it requires about 5-6 BCF per week. Some are predicting a summer peak in excess of 93,000 GWH. This would require 75-90 BCF a week over the average peak shoulder season injejction, which this year appear to average about 90. So they say that we shouldn't be surprised to see perhaps a small DRAW at some point this summer!
This is going to be an interesting year."
