you probably don't need hot water when it's in the high 30's - you, IF you had any sense have some kind of backup to cook - anyone should have that
and as far as EV's go - do you understand that you don't have to charge them every day? And, there's no rule that says home is the only place you can charge up - there's public places, mates places and anywhere you can find a plug
but, do go on --------- if your life can't work through a few issues like this - no wonder your thinking shows so badly here
